Ophelia Gooden-Rodgers
I am Ophelia Gooden-Rodgers and I have been a South Bend resident for over 60 years. I am a proud graduate of the former LaSalle High School. I was raised on the Westside of South Bend and had the pleasure of raising my own children here as well.
I retired from the A M General Corporation. During my 41 years of employment at AM General I worked as an assembler, inspector, forklift driver and housekeeper.

As a devoted and active member of the Greater Saint John Missionary Baptist Church, I serve on the Usher Board as a Senior Usher, the Chair of the Sunday Breakfast Committee, and Assistant Treasurer for the Missionary Department.

I appreciate the joys and struggles of family life. I have dedicated my life to my husband, two children, six grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

My strong ties to this community have motivated me to fulfill a lifetime of servant leadership. I stand ready to continue my life of service as the next South Bend City Council Member, Democrat, Second District.
