Cindy spent the last 31 years serving our community as a South Bend Police officer. Now she is ready to continue serving as a member of the County Council.
Cindy currently volunteers with the Center for Hospice Care, is an active member of the Rotary Club of South Bend, president of her neighborhood HOA, and serves on the boards of Goodwill of Michiana and Logan Center.
Cindy believes that her experience as an alum and board member of Leadership South Bend/Mishawaka has cemented her philosophy of servant leadership. One of her favorite quotes comes from Mahatma Ghandi: “The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others.”
Although her career as a public servant with the police department is behind her, she firmly believes her work for the Michiana community is not done.
Cindy’s experience, particularly her eight years as the coordinator for Michiana Crime Stoppers as an advocate for victims and families, along with her ability to connect people to solutions will serve her (and us) well as the next member of the St. Joseph County Council in District C.
